FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)
Problem: Solution:
#1 Creating Your Account
The linked text "Create an Account" does not appear below the LOGIN button or anywhere on the screen.
In some cases, if a link to these web-based surveys has been sent to you via email, the link may have been truncated or changed by your e-mail program (client).  While the resultant link does get you to a login screen, it is NOT the correct location for the T/M LC surveys.

#2 Logging on
I am not able to logon.  The logon screen notes that the logon ID and  password are case sensitive.
If you did not "Create an Account" earlier, then you cannot logon.

If this is your first time visiting the survey, you must first click on the linked text that reads: "Create an Account".  You will then be taken to a "new user profile" screen.  If you do not see the "Create an Account" link, they you probably need to look at FAQ #1 above.

On the "New User Profile" screen, enter only the following fields:

a) Your First Name
b) Your Last Name
c) Your Email Address
d) A User ID (your email name, or use an alias)
e) A Password (your email password or something else that you will remember)
f) Enter the same Password again
g) Click the SUBMIT button

After creating your account, you are taken directly to survey and do not need to login.

If you save a partially completed survey or if you want to come back to review or change your responses, then you should login using your user ID and password, and you should NOT attempt to create an account.

#3 System is at Capacity
I tried to logon and got the message "System is at Capacity"
This project has been designed to accommodate ten (10) simultaneous survey users.

For example, if at 11:30am, there are 10 participants simultaneously taking the survey, you as the 11th participant, cannot logon until someone else submits AND logs off according to the logoff procedure specified in the cover letter. See #4 below for the correct logoff procedure.

If you encounter the full capacity message, "X" out of the login screen and try to login again in about 10-15 minutes.

#4 Logging off
If participants do not follow the logoff procedure specified in the cover letter, subsequent participants may not be able to log in (see #3 above).
When logging out, please follow the procedure specified in the cover letter.

If you simply close the website by "X"ing out, then your survey connection will remain active for up to one (1) hour. If all of the survey seats are filled at the time that you "X" out, then you may be blocking another user from getting a survey seat.

To logoff correctly, on the upper left hand side of the screen click on the word "SESSION" and pull down to the word "LOGOFF" and click once. Click on the two "YES" boxes requesting whether you want to logoff.

#5 Browser Time Out Mysterious Logoff  (revised)
I tried in vain to complete the survey as per the instructions.  I was unexpectedly logged off approx. 75% of the way through the survey.

Several respondents have reported receiving a "TIMEOUT" message and being logged out of the system before SUBMITTING their responses.  Upon returning to the survey, neither their rating reponses nor their text responses were there.

This survey application behaves exactly like a web page in that nothing is updated in the database until you click SUBMIT or SAVE, and until you click SUBMIT or SAVE, the application does not really know that you are actively working on the survey.

HINT: SAVE is for saving an incomplete survey to which you can return later. SUBMIT sends your responses and ends the survey.

The application monitors logged in users for activity/inactivity.  The application runs in an interactive, collaborative environment where it is important to make sure that a logged in user is actually participating.  It is equally important to free up seats that are not being used.  So, if it appears that a user has been inactive for over one hour (i.e. has not clicked SAVE or SUBMIT), that user is logged off.  This is also why it is important to logoff properly - see "#3 System is at Capacity".

We would suggest that you complete the survey in sections and make periodic saves, just like you might do when editing a long document in a windows application.
pinions.

#6 Browser seems to be “stuck” at the WebIQ website.

This behavior will occur if participants have enabled pop-up killer software/settings on their browsers.

We all know how annoying it is to go to a website and have two or three pop-up windows cover up our browser. Many people, have resorted to either acquiring pop-up killer software or, if the browser has the capability, enabling pop-up suppression. This all works great until you go to use WebIQ.

Participants must temporarily disable pop-up killer settings/software on their browser during a WebIQ session. They may re-enable it at the conclusion of the session.

WebIQ actually works within a “pop-up” window that provides it with the “screen real estate” necessary to carry out its functionality as well as to control the participants ability to stray.

If you do not wish to or are unable to disable popup blocking, first press F11 (Function Key 11), then just click the link below:
